Nikolai N. KOLESNIKOV
Dr. Sc.

Nikolai N. Kolesnikov has graduated from Phys.-Chem. Department of the Moscow Chemical-Technological Institute in 1982. Since 1982 to 1993 he has been working in ISSP and completed the way from engineer to senior researcher. Since 1993 Dr. Kolesnikov is Chief of LPCBC.
Nikolai N.Kolesnikov is successfully working in the field of the crystal growth from the melt and related investigations. His personal interests are: 
  • crystal growth of II-VI compounds (ZnS, ZnSe, ZnTe, CdS, CdSe, CdTe, Cd1-xZnxTe) and other metal chalcogenides by zone melting and Bridgman technique;
  • growth of the nanocrystals (nanotubes, nanorods, nanoparticles) of the wide-gap semiconductors;
  • investigation of properties of the refractory compound melts (viscosity, surface tension);
  • growth of Tl-based HTSC single crystals from the melt.
Dr. Kolesnikov published over 160 papers in the scientific journals and got over 70 patents.
