Tissen Vladimir Grigorievich

Position: senior scientist

About: V. G. Tissen graduated from the Physics Department of the Moscow University in 1975. Since then he works in the High Pressure Physics laboratory of the Institute of Solid State Physics. He defended his PhD thesis "Magnetic properties of the transition metals, their allys and hydrides in high magnetic fields" in 1980.

Areas of expertise: Now his interests are related to the effect of high pressure on the superconducting properties of solids, including the critical temperature of the superconducting transition and the upper critical field. Also, he is interested in the influence of pressure on the magnetic transitions. The diamond anvil cell for generating pressure and ac susceptibility measurements to determine the anomalies are used.
